Coach Marty Meyer
Camarillo High School Coach, John Harbour, hired me as a F-S coach sometime around 1986. I have been coaching high school basketball each season since.
John Harbour, Hall of Fame coach Lou Cvijanovich, Mike Prewitt, & now, Kevin Kiech have been my mentors. I have been honored to know countless other coaches who have shaped my coaching.
I have coached elementary, junior high, recreational, club, adult, F-S, JV, & varsity basketball. I have coached girls & boys’ basketball. After Camarillo High School I became the varsity head coach at Santa Clara High School (Oxnard, CA), & later at St. Bonaventure High School (Ventura, CA). I had been privileged to coach at Hueneme High School for 13 years. I am now an assistant coach at Rio Mesa High School.
I have taught Social Studies at the high school level, Criminal Justice at the trade school level, & had a 32-year career as a police officer. I have never “worked” a day in my life! Better yet, I have learned a little something each day from my players, students, & peers. Thank you all!
