Welcome to the Rio Mesa Boys Basketball website. We have concluded our 2025-2026 season. We are now going to be doing our off season workouts, etc. Next tryouts will be held at the end of the school year for Rio Mesa Students and in June for all incoming 9th graders for next year. If your a transfer to Rio before June, please contact coach Kiech . All incoming 9th graders (8th grade currently), the first step will be to Please fill out the above Google form so the coaches have your information, and we can make sure you’re up to date with the latest information. In the meantime, please make sure you have a current sports physical (On our Sports Physical forms) and you have completed athletic clearance. Please make sure to click on the “click here” above and fill it out carefully. The information will help us get more organized and also allow us to keep you informed on when tryouts are. Also, please look at the form page on this website to get more info on the mandatory forms/tasks that must be completed before tryouts this summer.

We are teaching and coaching more than just a game. We are a part of Rio Mesa High School’s educational experience. As coaches, we want to be the best teacher the student-athlete has each day! We will teach discipline, respect, and commitment. We will stress intense preparation, mental toughness, team unity, and what it means to be “ALL IN.” Players must give a maximum effort at all times. Winning is an outcome of doing the right things to the best of your ability.

2025-2026 Season 4th place in another year of a very tough Channel League. Lost in the Second Round of Division 5 Playoffs. ( CIF eliminated the a and aa divisions)

2024-2025 Season 4th place in a very tough Channel League. Lost in first round of Division 2a Playoffs.

2022-2023 Season 5th Place in the New Channel League. Lost in the first round of CIF playoffs. CIF ALL-Academic Honorable Mention Award.

2021-2022 Season 2nd place in Pacific View League. Lost in the second round of CIF Playoffs

2020-2021 Season 3rd place in Pacific View League. Made it to 4A semi finals in CIF Playoffs. Invited to play in Division 4 State Tourney. CIF ALL-Academic Honorable Mention Award
